Huawei Mate 30 Pro lose backdoor access to install google apps

Huawei lost full Google support after the US Commerce Department blacklisted the Chinese company in May which means hereafter they don't come with Google services (like Play Store) or apps (like Chrome or Maps).

After the US trade ban, Huawei launched it's first flagship smartphone Mate 30 Pro without pre-installed google apps. Despite the phone not being legally allowed to have google, a Backdoor was found allowing you to side-load them on the device using the LZPlay app, which is found on Google Play Store.

According to Android Security researcher John Wu, it relies on Huawei's undocumented MDM API so the workaround is no longer an option. Also, Bloomberg reported that only Google can make that kind of change.

Just hours after John Wu shared his research, the LZPlay app has been taken down from the Lzplay.net website and users who have already installed the apps are at risk. Because now previously downloaded copies of their APK no longer function as expected.

since LZPlay was pulled off, Mate 30 Pro phones that already had Google apps installed no longer pass SafetyNet tests. that's going to prevent them from fully utilizing their devices. Besides, the apps don't even work anymore. So far, This phone was shipped only in China and they have not yet announced the date for other countries.
