The Lenovo-owned company Motorola has unveiled its foldable smartphone-Motorola Razr 2019 on 13 November 2019 in Los Angeles. The new Moto Razr 2019 offers a premium design with two displays.
Motorola Razr 2019 features two screens. One is the main display (when the phone is unfolded) while there's a small screen when the device is folded. The main display comes with a 6.2-inch flexible OLED HD+ (876x2142 pixels) screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio and the folded display features a 2.7-inches (600x800 pixels) OLED display with an aspect ratio of 4:3. When the phone is folded, the Quick view display can be used to take selfies, view notifications, control music, attend the calls and more. Notably, there is no gap between these two displays.
Motorola Razr 2019 runs on Android 9 Pie and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. Motorola Razr 2019 packs a 2,510 mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging.
In terms of camera, Motor Razr 2019 sports 16MP camera sensor which acts as a selfie camera in the folded state and primary rear shooter in the unfolded state. And there is a 5MP camera present in the main display notch for taking selfies in the unfolded state.
Motorola Razr 2019 has been priced at $1,499.99 (around Rs. 1,07,400) in the US. Recently Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy Fold smartphone in the market at the price of Rs 1,65,000/ $1,980. Compared to Samsung Galaxy Fold's price, Moto Razr 2019 is a much cheaper foldable smartphone.
Motorola says that this flip-phone Motorola Razr (2019) will go on sale starting January 9, 2020, in the US. The pre-orders for this phone will available from December 26 via Verizon and the wireless carrier as well.
After the launch event, Motorola has confirmed the availability of Moto Razr 2019 in India. Motorola Razr 2019 will make debut in India soon and for now, the Indian unit price is not revealed. Further, the company has set up a registration page for the Indian customers to get updates.
