LG has already confirmed that the LG Velvet smartphone arrives with a Cinema FullVision display with a waterdrop-style notch, curved screen design, raindrop rear camera setup, velvet-touch design, and Snapdragon 765G SoC.
LG Velvet Specifications, Features
On the front, the new LG Velvet 5G smartphone has a 6.8-inch full-HD+ Cinema FullVision POLED display with a resolution of 1080x2460 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20.5:9 aspect ratio and waterdrop notch for placing a 16MP selfie camera.
The phone measures 167.2x74.1x7.9mm and weighs 180 grams.
LG Velvet is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage that is expandable via microSD card up to 2TB. On the software side, the phone runs on Android 10 with a custom ROM on top.
In terms of camera, the LG Velvet packs a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48MP primary shooter with an f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultrawide-angle camera with a wide-angle f/2.2 lens, and a 5MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens for a portrait shots.
The phone arrives with a 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
Other key features on the LG Velvet include stereo speakers, IP68& MIL-STD-810G certification for durability, in-display fingerprint sensors, support for Wacom Stylus pen, and an LG Dual Screen cover.
LG Velvet packs a 4,300mAh battery that supports both wired and wireless charging.
LG Velvet price, Colors
LG Velvet is available in four colors - Aurora White, Aurora Green, Aurora Gray, and Illusion Sunset. The price of LG Velvet(8GB RAM + 128GB) in Korea is set at KRW 899,800 (around Rs. 55,700).
LG Velvet Sales Details
LG has already started the pre-order for LG Velvet in South Korea and the pre-booking will be alive till May 14. The phone will be available for purchase in the country from May 15.
Accessories such as custom-made LG Dual Screen and the Wacom stylus pen will also unveil on the same day, but the pricing details and availability will be revealed at the time of arrival.
If you purchase the LG Velvet on Korea Telecom, LG U+, or SK Telecom, LG Velvet will be more affordable. The LG Velvet will also available on LG's online Best Shop and some retail stores across the country.
As of now, LG has introduced this new LG Velvet 5G smartphone in South Korea and There is no word about the availability of the global launch of this phone.
