According to a report by Financial Express, the offers is active since May 16 and can be availed only in Delhi-NCR by users who signed up for Airtel Broadband services on or before May 16.
Airtel is giving 1000GB extra data on four plans- Rs 1099, Rs 1299, Rs 1499 and Rs 1799. The lowest plan of Rs 899 will get user 750GB data for 1 year.
Airtel's new move to offer bonus data seems to be an attempt to take on Jio that is gearing up to launch its broadband service soon. There are reports that Jio may soon roll out its JioFibre service and it is currently testing it in six cities.
Reportedly, the JioFibre plans will be initially rolled out as JioFiber Preview Offer and users will be given 90 days of free data. India Today Tech had previously reported that users will get 100GB data a month at the speed of 100mbps under the JioFiber Preview offer. Once the data limit is exhausted, the internet speed will reduce to 1mbps but internet will work. Reportedly, company will also access to Jio bouquet of services including 5GB cloud storage.
